Open Call for Submissions
A collaborative art event to honour Trans Day of Visibility 2025
The LGBTQ+ Resource Centre at Humber Polytechnic and the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre are excited to share an open call for trans identifying artists to collaborate on a community art event to honour Trans Day of Visibility 2025.
Focusing on joy and celebration, the selected artist will create a paint-by-number-inspired large scale art piece, and facilitate an event inviting students, staff, and faculty at Humber Polytechnic to add colour to the artwork. Upon completion, the artwork will be placed on permanent display in the LGBTQ+ Resource Centre’s Lakeshore student space.
The selected artist will receive an honorarium of $1,000; and up to $500 in materials (to be discussed with the selected artist).
