Meet the Team

Bri Gardner Ford (She/Her, They/Them)
Research Assistant

Born and raised in the Lakeshore area, Bri Gardner Ford holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in political science from York University and has recently completed the Fashion Arts and Business program at Humber Polytechnic. She has spent years working in the Lakeshore community to promote civic and political engagement and to increase access to housing and vital social and healthcare services, serving as the first-ever Managing Director of the South Etobicoke Community Land Trust.

Bri has worked with LAMP Community Health Centre to hold a number of community events including award ceremonies, wellness days, repair cafes and community dinners. She has a particular focus on creating deeply affordable housing in the Lakeshore, and is currently persuing a Master's Degree in Psychospiritual Studies from the University of Toronto.

Bri is a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor-General’s Community Service Award, an RBC INSPIRE Award, and a LAMP CHC Award of Merit. She is excited to continue to support the Lakeshore community through the work of the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre.
